New versions come to you.

Studio looks for a new version by itself. You choose when to install it and when to restart. On the web, you always have the newest version.

1. It checks by itself

Soon after Studio opens, and every six hours while it stays open, it looks for a new version.

2. You choose when

It shows you what's new. Nothing downloads until you choose Download & install.

3. It checks the signature

Studio checks that the update is signed by Foxora. If the check fails, nothing is installed.

4. Restart when it suits you

Your sign-in, projects and settings stay as they were. To check now, open Settings, then About.

Install, update & recovery

Keep your work. Choose what to change.

Normal installs and updates replace the application. They do not reset your projects, credentials, browser packs or model packs. Recovery is a separate, explicit action.

Seeing unfamiliar projects, duplicate entries or a sign-in error?

An unfamiliar project entry alone does not establish where it came from. Keep the files and the entry intact while the issue is investigated. Note the app version, your operating system and the exact error message.

Finish or stop active work and quit Studio, including its tray process. Run recovery as your usual desktop user, without sudo. Start with the read-only check below.

1. Check local state

Reports whether known local state exists. It does not read project contents or change files, credentials or settings. The installer downloads and verifies the recovery script; the check itself sends no local data.

2. Restart local sign-in

Explicit recovery: backs up the device session. macOS and Windows select a new sign-in profile while preserving old OS-vault credentials. Linux backs up the app webview profile, which also resets UI preferences and recent-folder entries. Close old login tabs and start one new sign-in attempt. This does not patch OAuth code or guarantee a PKCE fix.

3. Reset the app view

Explicit recovery: moves the app webview profile into a private backup and resets its UI preferences. On Linux this also signs you out. Project and task databases, project files, packs and your ordinary browser profile stay in place. Entries restored from existing tasks may still appear; this action does not patch duplicate-row handling in the app.

Repairs print a private backup location under your Foxora data folder’s recovery directory. Do not upload that backup. To undo a repair, quit Studio and preserve any newly created state separately, then restore items to the paths in moves.tsv (macOS/Linux) or moves.json (Windows). If new-marker.txt exists, move its named pointer aside before restoring auth-generation, if present.

Do not delete or reset your whole ~/.foxora folder, application-data folder or saved credentials. Clearing caches is not a confirmed repair for a PKCE sign-in error.

The installer refuses to execute recovery bytes that do not match these pinned checksums.

Contact Foxora support for recovery guidance. Share the error text and app version; do not share passwords, tokens, sign-in callback URLs or private project files.

Check the file before you open it.

Every file has a checksum: a long string that changes if even one byte of the file changes. Work out yours with the command for your system, then find the file's name in our list. The two strings must match; capital letters don't matter. If they don't match, don't open the file, and tell us.

A few questions before you install.

Open the Apple menu and choose About This Mac. If it says Chip, with an Apple M-series name, choose Apple Silicon. If it says Processor, with an Intel name, choose Intel.

V6.1.0 is available for Apple Silicon. The legacy V5.0.10 Universal build runs on both.
